Taiko master Kenny Endo and renowned singer/guitarist Takezo will headline the entertainment at the 65th annual Satsuki Bazaar and Arts Festival on the weekend of May 17-18.

Kenny Endo Kenny Endo is one of the leading personas in contemporary percussion and rhythm. He is the vanguard of the taiko genre, continuing to pave new paths in this Japanese-style drumming after more than 30 years as a taiko player. Endo, a performer, composer and teacher, has been honored with numerous awards and accolades.

Endo will be performing with:
Shoko Hikage, on koto
Masaru Koga, on reeds
Abe Lagrimas, Jr. on vibraphones, ukulele and drums
Hiroshi Tanaka, percussion
Kaoru Watanabe, fue and taiko


Yoshinobu Takeda, a.k.a. Takezo, was born in Kagawa, Japan, and grew up in Kyoto. His instincts brought him to San Francisco in 1985 to pursue a career in music. Since then he has performed as a rhythm and blues singer/guitarist with artists such as Elvin Bishop, Angela Strehli, Joe Louis Walker, Norton Buffalo, and many others. more …
